Our History

For over 30 years on the front line of road safety

Crezza was founded in 1992 by the Guerini family, building upon experience gained during the reconstruction efforts following the 1987 Valtellina floods. This project marked one of the first instances where prefabricated elements were used for water management in land reclamation works. The company is headquartered in Valchiavenna, where its historic Gordona plant—still its primary production site—has evolved and expanded; from this base, the company has grown to become a national leader in concrete prefabrication.

Now led by the family’s second generation, Crezza has been in business for over 30 years and serves as a trusted partner to major companies and public bodies for infrastructure projects in Italy and abroad. It specializes in reinforced concrete road safety barriers and tunnel segments—products it has manufactured and supplied since its inception. The company looks to the future by investing in research and development regarding material quality and sustainability, as well as in the design and creation of bespoke solutions tailored to specific project requirements. Today, just as in the past, the company places the utmost importance on its workforce, prioritizing professional growth, safety, and a positive working environment.

Reinforced Concrete Safety Barriers

ABESCA, a leader in road safety

In 2002, Crezza, together with other major industry players, founded ABESCA, Association for Reinforced Concrete Safety Barriers, which – along with ABESCA EUROPE S.r.l., established in 2005 – pursues and promotes road safety through a program of investments and research.

ABESCA’s commitment has led to the improvement of passive safety standards for road users by developing increasingly advanced reinforced concrete safety barriers, which are now installed on over 10,000 km of roads in Italy and worldwide.
